Psalm 81

Now I will take the load from your shoulders; I will free your hands from their heavy tasks.
For it was I, the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt.  Open your mouth wide and I will fill it with good things

Psalm 81:6, 10

Lord Jesus,

I ask that you take the load from my shoulders and free my hands from their heavy tasks. May you fill me with good things.

Amen

Hallowed be your name

Lord,

We want your name to be honored and for people to see how awesome you are.  (Luke 11:2)

May we love you (Deuteronomy 6:5) , obey you (John 14:15), trust you (Proverbs 3:5-6), and thank you ( 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

In the name of Jesus,

Amen

Not be ashamed

Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced.  Therefore I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will not be put to shame.  Isaiah 50:7

Lord, thank you for helping us.  May we not be disgraced.  Help us to set our face like a stone, determined to do your will knowing that we will not be put to shame.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen

Fear and Discouragement

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up by my victorious right hand.   Isaiah 41:10

Lord,

May we not be afraid or discouraged. Thank you for being with us and claiming us as your own. Please strenghten us, help us, and hold us up with your victorious right hand.

In the name of Jesus,
Amen

Frosty's Prayer

I took concepts from Frosty Westering's book Make The Big Time Where You Are and turned them into a prayer

May we pay careful attention to our own work so that we may have the satisfaction of a job well done.  May we not compare ourselves to others. (Galatians 6:4)

Please remove our fear and give us a spirit of power, love, and self discipline (2 Timothy 1:7)

May we become content within ourselves embracing our weakness rather than being ashamed by it.  For when we are weak, then we are strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10)

Fill us with your joy, for your joy is our strength.  (Nehemiah 8:10)

May we give it our best shot, knowing that nothing we do through you is ever useless.  (1 Corinthians 15:58)

May we enjoy our work and accept our appointed lot.  (Ecclesiastes 5:19)

In Jesus' name
amen
